Privacy notice
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information ClearView Careers collects when you use this website or work with me, why I need it, and what your rights are.
Who I am
ClearView Careers is run by Abhishek as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me about anything in this notice at [email protected].
What I collect
- When you use the contact form or book an intro call: your name, email address, career stage and your message.
- When you buy a plan: your name, email address and billing details. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by me.
- When you're a client: what you share with me by email and in our sessions, such as your CV, LinkedIn profile, career history, goals, and notes I make to prepare for and follow up on our sessions.
Please only share what you're comfortable sharing. You don't need to give me sensitive information (for example about health) to get value from coaching.
Why I use it, and the legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and arranging a free intro call | Taking steps at your request before entering a contract |
| Taking payment and delivering the coaching you bought | Performing our contract |
| Keeping financial records for tax | Legal obligation |
| Keeping my systems secure and preventing fraud | Legitimate interests |
I don't send marketing emails, sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted service providers, who process your information only on my instructions:
- Stripe, to take payments securely.
- Formspree, to deliver messages sent through the contact form to my inbox.
- Calendly, to let you book a free intro call. It collects your name, email and anything you add when booking.
- Google (Gmail), for email.
- Cloudflare, to host this website and route email for my domain.
- The video-call service we use for sessions.
Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where that happens, they use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
I would only share your information with anyone else if the law required it.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to coaching: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Coaching notes and materials: up to 2 years after our last session, so I can help if you come back, then deleted.
- Payment and financial records: 6 years, as required for tax.
You can ask me to delete your information sooner, except where I have to keep it by law.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies or tracking for analytics or advertising. It loads its font from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them. Stripe's checkout page may use cookies needed to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
- ask me to correct anything that's wrong
- ask me to delete your information
- object to or ask me to restrict how I use it
- ask for your information in a portable format
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. I'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
